Magpies against racism

Newcastle United Women's first team players joined Magpie's manager Glen Roeder to Unite in their support of making society and sport free from racism.

Newcastle United Women's players attend as many events as possible to back the ever continuing battle to make any racist behaviour totally unacceptable.

At the recent St James park event the Newcastle girls were asked to be on the question and answer panel to answer the children's questions based around the problems of racism in today's society.

Jo Cartwright NUWFC Club captain said: "It is so important that as players we give out the correct messages. We firmly believe that the next generation of young players should only be exposed to the positive aspects of sport."

Rob Atkin NUWFC Head coach added: "We all strongly support the excellent work that Ged Grebby his team do and our players see first hand the educational workshops and just how valuable they are in helping the children understand the importance of not giving in to any form of racism or bullying."
