Red Card call to north west schools


North West Show Racism the Red Card campaign was launched at Liverpool F.C.'s ground Anfield by Liverpool Legend Alan Kennedy and the first black player to play for the side- Howard Gayle.


Campaign organiser Paul Kearns said: "It is great to be back at Anfield to launch both our Liverpool FC poster for 2007 and our anti-racist schools competition."


The aim of this event is to promote our campaign in the North West and increase the number of schools registering for this yearıs competition. We will be hosting prize giving ceremonies at the three national stadiums: Hampden, the Millennium and Wembley in April and May.



Germany said this month it was taking seriously the possibility that right-wing radicals and neo-Nazis might try to disrupt this year's football World Cup and has vowed to clamp down on racism. The tournament starts on June 9.
