Middlesbrough FC Event

We held a two hour event at Middlesbrough FC on Monday 11th February. Local councillor Brenda Thompson opened the event which was attended by over150 young people and 30 adults. The audience were treated to a performance from Tees Valley World Drummers and an educational session from SRtRC education worker Kieron Brady before Middlesbrough FC players Robert Huth and Julio Arca joined the team for a Q&A session with the young people. The young people who asked the best questions received match tickets and a signed Middlesbrough shirt, thanks to the club for making us so welcome and to David Foster for arranging for the young people to attend.

We have been in meetings with Middlesbrough Council who are looking to support a scheme of community Education in the Town in the financial year 2008-2009.
