Overview of educational work delivered by SRtRC Education teams
The North-East and South-East Education teams have been delivering thought-provoking and creative educational workshops throughout England during February.
Throughout the month of December the Show Racism the Red Card (England) Education teams worked to collectively deliver workshops and events across England:
92 hours of workshop activities, excluding assemblies and fun fitness sessions
1,389 pupils participated
11 Primary Schools
3 Secondary Schools
In the North East, the Education team delivered 18 workshops, over 63 hours to a total of 805 school students, across the region in 6 Primary schools and 3 Secondary schools.
In addition, the North East team attended a Council Chamber event in Gateshead with 45 students as well as group work with the youth offending team.
In the Southern region, the Education team delivered 20 workshops, over 28 hours to a total 584 students, across the south region in 5 Primarys.
They also provided Teacher Training at Sacred Heart Juniors and a Homophobia education workshop for University students at West Ham’s Upton Park.
