FREE anti-racist workshops for schools in the South East of England

Free workshops for all schools in Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and Islington

More on this article...

SRtRC has now partnered with four Local Authorities in the South East of England.  If you are a teacher in a school in Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire or Islington then the SRtRC team can visit you.

In primary schools we deliver 2 hour classroom workshops on anti-racism and 1 hour football fitness session delivered by one of our ex-professional footballers;
Luther Blissett and Paul Mortimer.  In secondary schools we often work with a whole year group during one visit to deliver a Citizenship Day where pupils received a carousel of workshops covering general anti-racism and topics such as Islamophobia and racism towards Asylum Seekers.  We work with pupils in Year 4 and above and our workshops tie in closely to the Citizenship and PSHE cirriculum.

SRtRC are flexible and can tailor workshops to suit your needs.  Following all workshops we give prizes to pupils and provide educational resources for the teachers.

To book a workshop or for more informatiopn please contact Kate Hollinshead:
kate@theredcard.org or 01234 219 481

We are also offering free lectures/workshops for trainee teachers to Initial Teacher Training providers in England.
Please contact Sarah Soyei,
sarah@theredcard.org, for more details.

Anti-racism workshops are also available in Scotland, Wales and North East England.
