Advice to young people experiencing racism:
The best thing to do is not tackle it yourself, try and get advice from other people, people of seniority - like your headmaster, a school teacher, your mum and dad...people of that kind of stature in society. You've got to talk to them about it and hopefully they can help you to try and put a stop to it.

On Show Racism the Red Card:
It's brilliant...I think sport should be used, because sport is one of the things that a lot of young people look up to - they look up to heroes, such as Michael Owen and David Beckham. It's up to people like that to be showing them that racism is not right...I think it is good for young people to see that, and then hopefully they can take it out of sport and into their own schools and communities. I think that's the way forward.

On heroes:
I haven't got one as such - I look up to people who've done well in society. People like Nelson Mandela. I was lucky enough to be able to go to South Africa and see his prison cell and see what he had to go through. His cell was no bigger than a tiny bathroom. He was in there for 30-odd years and came out to be so strong at such an old age. I think it's fantastic and he's a great leader.
